At least five people were injured in a shooting incident at Morgan State University in Baltimore on Tuesday night, necessitating issuance of an active shooter warning and shelter-in-place instructions. for students and staff.

Addressing a press conference, Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said that the injured individuals, which included four men and one woman aged between 18 and 22, had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Notably, four of the victims were students at Morgan State University.

The police responded to reports of gunshots around 9:25 p.m. local time and discovered multiple shattered windows on campus.


Although the active shooter warning was lifted after two hours, no arrests were announced, and the police did not disclose any details regarding potential suspects.

Morgan State University President David Wilson announced the cancellation of all classes for the following day.
