Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who threw a complete-game gem in Game 2, will start for the Dodgers in Game 6. Ohtani, who took the loss in Game 4, expressed willingness to pitch out of the bullpen if needed. After missing the 2024 season while recovering from elbow ligament surgery, Ohtani has been outstanding as a starter this year, with the Dodgers carefully managing his return by spacing out his outings.
Despite the pressure, the Dodgers are maintaining a positive mindset. "Our guys are in good spirits," Roberts said. "What better way to win the World Series than in Game 7?" He added that none of his players opted to skip Thursday’s workout despite fatigue from travel and long games - a sign that the defending champions are ready to fight to the finish.
