Shocking! US teen shot at multiple times by San Antonio cop while eating burger in a car, watch video

According to local news sources, a US officer was fired on Friday after a frightening video of him firing numerous bullets at a teenager went viral.

On Sunday, Erick Cantu, 17, was shot multiple times by James Brennand, a San Antonio police officer, in his vehicle in a McDonald's parking lot. The boy is being treated in a hospital.

According to US media, charges against him were dropped after the cop's body-cam footage was revealed.




In the footage, the officer can be seen approaching a parked car and quickly unlocking its door. He then invited a boy who was eating a burger to come out. When the boy questioned the police about why he was being requested to do so, the officer sought to arrest him.




The car began to move backward with the door still open. The officer fired multiple bullets as the adolescent locked the door and left the scene.

The car was discovered a block away. The teen was shot multiple times by the policeman. A 17-year-old girl was a passenger but was unharmed.

When footage of the event was released, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus stated that there was nothing he could say to defend what he did or his conduct that night.

Officers are not allowed to shoot at moving automobiles unless in self-defense.
