Shocking! Kidnapped girl's daring escape leads to recovery of two decomposed bodies in Alabama

Two decomposing bodies were found and a man was arrested after a kidnapped girl's daring escape in US' Alabama. José Paulino Pascual-Reyes, 37, restrained the unnamed 12-year-old girl to a bed post for about a week after killing two others.The man is in custody facing murder and kidnapping charges.

A passerby driver found the kidnapped girl walking alone on County Road 34 in Dadeville after she managed to escape from the kidnapper's house. He picked up the girl and informed the police.

During the police investigation, two decomposing bodies were found at the kidnapper's house and were sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for identification. It is speculated that these bodies are those of the girl's mother and brother. However, it is not known when and how they died.


The authorities informed us that the 12-year-old was found with restraints marks on her wrist. She had chewed the restraints to free herself and was given alcohol to remain drugged. Although there were no missing reports of the girl.

Auburn police and US Marshals arrested the kidnapper on Monday in Auburn under first-degree kidnapping. Pascual-Reyes is facing three counts: one of capital murder and two for abuse of a corpse.

Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett informed the media about the ongoing investigation and mentioned that the juvenile is now safe. He said it was a horrendous crime and might have been tough for a child to face. He called the girl a hero and didn't want to jeopardise the girl's identification.

Tallapoosa County District Attorney Jeremy Duerr said they are considering multiple counts of murder and kidnapping. He added that after the investigation is complete, several more charges will be added.

Although the authorities did not mention when the girl got kidnapped or any possible relations with the kidnapper, they said she was safe and had been provided medical care.
