Senior White House officials are being left in the dark as Elon Musk exercises his unchecked power, they’re feeling a sense of helplessness, says new report
Recent reports are claiming that the White House officials are left in dark recently as Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been designated as a special government employee and is now exercising his unchecked power.

According to Independent, recent reports indicate that Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his team have gained access to sensitive government systems which include classified documents and the US Treasury Department's payment system while raising concerns among federal officials about his unchecked power. Several senior White House staff have expressed feeling sidelined as Elon Musk operates with minimal oversight.
US President Donald Trump has publicly stated that the actions of Tesla CEO Elon Musk require his approval while asserting that 'Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval', asserted Independent. However, at the same time, the reality appears to be that Elon Musk is executing a broad mandate to streamline government operations while including plans to dismantle agencies like the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and potentially the Department of Education as well.
Several critics which include Democratic lawmakers as well have voiced alarm over Tesla CEO Elon Musk's influence while emphasizing the risks of having an unelected billionaire handling classified information and federal contracts. Numerous concerns about conflicts of interest have also been raised due to Elon Musk's substantial business ties with the government through SpaceX, noted Independent.
