Senate should not confirm Tulsi Gabbard and Matt Gaetz until the FBI investigates them, says John Bolton

Tulsi Gabbard is being deemed as a 'threat to national security', according to former national security adviser, John Bolton, who has also warned about her deep ties with Russia, according to reports. Bolton is of the view that Gabbard or Matt Gaetz ought to have a confirmation hearing until they have both had full-field FBI investigations to skim through every single detail of their lives, so that any hint of scandal or threat to national security can be detected.

According to Bolton, Americans may have 'lost their minds' when it comes to collecting national intelligence. after Gabbard was chosen as the director of national intelligence. Bolton also said that Gabbard and Gaetz are the two worst Cabinet appointments in recent history, according to The Hill's report.

Bolton has even stated that until Trump had announced his own pick of Cabinet members, he was considering the current set of Cabinet members to be the worst of the entire lot across Presidential history under the Biden administration.


Bolton recalled an interview Gabbard had given back in January 2020 after Congress was briefed on the Trump-directed assassination of Qassem Soleimani, the former head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force. In the interview, she was more concerned about the 'illegal and unconstitutional act of war that had been carried out under President Trump’s orders' instead of the national threat eliminated through American intelligence.
