The reason to scarp out a few rituals was King Charles acknowledged that the world has evolved in the last 70 years.

Prince William will play a key role in the event's planning which is expected to last only an hour in comparison to his mother's coronation which lasted for 3 hours 70 years ago. The event is expected to be held next summer.

There is also an ongoing discussion regarding allowing peers to wear lounge suits instead of ceremonial robes and the idea of having velvet chairs for guests has also been dropped. Also, the traditional act of presenting the gold to the monarch will not be practised this time.

Meanwhile, sources claim that language used during the coronation will be understandable to a more modern audience.
