Sean Diddy Combs living like a king behind bars? Reports emerge about his pampered life in jail
Sean “Diddy” Combs is serving a 50-month sentence at the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey. But a new NBC News report paints a very different picture of his life behind bars.

Four men who spent time in the same prison unit told NBC News that Combs has allegedly paid other inmates to cook, clean, do his laundry and even give him Chinese-style massages. The report also describes alleged access to a contraband phone, alcohol, medication and special meals, as per a report by NBC News.

What is Diddy’s life like inside Fort Dix?

According to the four sources, Combs has spent thousands of dollars a month to maintain a more comfortable routine inside the low-security facility.

Other inmates allegedly clean his toilet and shower area before he uses them, make his bed and prepare food for him. Meals reportedly include curry chicken, pizza and empanadas.

“After a while, I got tired of cooking,” one man said. “He started going to the Jamaicans.”

The report also says money from people outside prison has been deposited into the commissary accounts of inmates who perform services for Combs.

One source described the arrangement bluntly: “This is not some normal s--- you see in jail. This is some rich s---. It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

NBC News also reviewed photos and videos taken inside the prison. The material reportedly includes footage appearing to show Combs using a contraband cellphone.

How did Hennessy, phones and explicit photos become part of the story?

Multiple sources told NBC News that Combs has allegedly used unauthorized phones to browse Instagram and view sexually explicit photos sent by an old girlfriend.

He has also allegedly obtained Remeron, an antidepressant that sources say is traded on the prison's black market.

Alcohol is another part of the claims. Sources said premium liquor was smuggled into the prison and shared with a small group of inmates on weekend nights.

“Hell yeah, I drank with him,” one man said, describing drinking Hennessy with Combs.

Combs also reportedly had access to a “jailbroken” tablet, which he used to watch movies and documentaries, including the Netflix series “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” produced by his longtime rival 50 Cent.

The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on Combs’ specific conditions, citing privacy, safety and security reasons. The agency did acknowledge that contraband, including cellphones, narcotics and weapons, remains a continuing challenge in correctional facilities.

Combs’ spokesperson pushed back on the attention surrounding his prison routine.

“The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,” the spokesperson said. “The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court’s decision on his appeal.”

Combs’ time at Fort Dix has not been without problems. NBC News previously reported that he was placed in solitary confinement over the summer after a fight with another inmate. Sources also said he was later removed from the prison’s drug treatment program.

After leaving solitary confinement, however, the sources said he returned to a routine supported by other inmates.

“He’s a billionaire. People are in awe of him,” one source said. “Money is power, especially behind bars.”

Combs arrived at Fort Dix in October after being convicted on two counts of transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters. His lawyers had pushed for the facility partly because of its drug treatment program.

He entered that program after arriving, but sources later said he was removed from it after spending time in solitary confinement following a fight with another inmate.

Even after that, sources said, Combs returned to a prison routine supported by other inmates.

The reports about his life at Fort Dix remain based largely on accounts from inmates who spoke anonymously and material reviewed by NBC News. The Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed the specific claims about Combs.
