An emergency alert followed. Reports said the aircraft transmitted code 7700, which signals a general emergency. Code 7500 was reportedly activated several minutes later. Aviation authorities use the second code to indicate unlawful interference.

Passenger Video Reveals Fear Inside the Cabin

The footage circulating online offers a glimpse of the fear onboard. Passengers appear shaken as the aircraft continues towards Tabuk. Other videos reportedly show an injured person and travellers dealing with the aftermath of a violent incident near the cockpit.

One passenger recorded himself asking for help. He described the situation as a hijacking. However, his words reflected what he believed was happening at the time. They do not confirm the motive behind the incident.

Reports Point to a Cockpit Altercation

Officials told the Associated Press that a fight had broken out between the two pilots. One pilot was allegedly carrying a knife. The cause of the confrontation remains unknown.

Saudi authorities said the captain and first officer were injured. Both were taken to hospital after landing. Passengers were reported safe.
