Scream Seasons 1, 2 and 3 going off Netflix; Where can you stream the series after September 2023? Know here

MTV series Scream Seasons 1-3 went out from Netflix in international regions in 2022, and now it won’t be available on Netflix US either. The Scream series originally aired on music channel MTV for Seasons 1 and 2, and later on its sister channel VH1 for Season 3 and 4.

The Scream series is based on the popular horror slasher movie franchise from the 1990s by Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven.

Scream Seasons 1 and 2 told the story of Emma Duval in Lakewood, Louisiana, while Season 3 showed a local football star in Atlanta, both fighting the Ghostface.


Popular names were seen in Scream Seasons 1-3 three, including Willa Fitzgerald, Tyga, Tyler Posey, Keke Palmer, Tom Maden, Connor Wiel, and John Karna.

The Scream Season 1 first aired on Netflix US in May 2016, and the Season 2 aired from September 2016. The Scream Season 4 – the final season – came to Netflix US in September 2019.

Apart from the US region, Scream is touted as a Netflix Original title. Worldwide, only Seasons 1 and 2 of Scream were available on Netflix. The titles were removed from all international territories a year ago on July 16, 2022. As part of a deal between The Weinstein Co. and Lantern Entertainment, Netflix could not stream Scream Season 3 internationally.

As of July 2023, Scream Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are going off Netflix US. You can still watch the series on Netflix until August 31, 2023. The departure of Scream from Netflix US will take place on September 1, 2023.

Where can you watch Scream after it goes off Netflix?

Paramount+ seems likely to acquire the Scream series after it departs from Netflix. But it is not confirmed officially.
