He then headed to the Turnberry resort in South Ayrshire, one of two golf resorts he owns in Scotland, according to the report.Trump is likely to remain over the weekend at Turnberry, where he will be golfing and using the luxury hotel before travelling to Aberdeenshire to unveil a new 18-hole course at his Menie estate, according to the report.
When he was addressing journalists after Trump landed, he said, "It's great to be in Scotland," as quoted by the BBC.

Donald Trump's Planned Meetings with Keir Starmer and John Swinney
However, Trump's trip is not all fun, he is expected to meet with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and First Minister of Scotland John Swinney on Monday, as reported by BBC.He spoke about Starmer when speaking to reporters at the airport, saying, "I like your prime minister. He's slightly more liberal than I am - as you probably heard - but he's a good man. He got a trade deal done," as quoted in the report.
The US president added, "You know, they've been working on this deal for 12 years, he got it done - that's a good deal, it's a good deal for the UK," as quoted by BBC.
Previously, he also described Swinney as "a good man" and said he was looking forward to meeting him, reported BBC.
While Swinney has indicated that his meeting with Trump would present an opportunity to "essentially speak out for Scotland" on issues such as trade and the increase of business from the United States in Scotland, as per the report. He also revealed that he would also raise "significant international issues" including "the awfulness of the situation in Gaza," as quoted in the report.

Rachel Reeves Says Trump Visit in ‘National Interest’
Previously, Chancellor Rachel Reeves had told reporters that Trump's visit to Scotland was in the "national interest," as quoted by BBC.
