The end of summer is usually when regular viewers of Saturday Night Live (SNL) come to know about the upcoming season’s new cast and exits, as well as other details. In 2023, however, there has been no announcement yet from the channel NBC about SNL.

This is because SNL was immediately impacted by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike and had to shut shop until the protests are on.

If the WGA strike had happened later, fans would have been able to watch the SNL Season 48 Finale episode, which was going to have Jennifer Coolidge as the host and Foo Fighters as the musical guests.
