A Christmas musical was performed as the opening act of Saturday Night Live. It was the show's intention to distract people from their problems and worries and to get them into holiday spirits.

A well-known song 'It's Christmas' was performed by Kenan Thompson, Cecily Strong, and Bowen Yang. The musical shed light on some of today's sharp political opinions.

Some of the lines were targeted toward Kanye West because he praised Hitler on the Alex Jones show. They were also addressing Nick Fuentes, who's a Neo-Nazi figure.

The song also touched upon Elon Musk's owning Twitter. Apparently, that has been bothering a lot of people.

The song opened by giving ample importance to mental health. Yang, via his lines, expressed that some people are having difficulties keeping track of time. They function abnormally and their sleep cycles are messed up. But that all has to change, Strong said, as it is Christmas. It's a great effort to encourage people to get out of their beds.

Several versions and lines emphasize this topic and encourage people to give up their worries, try a little harder, get into the Christmas spirit, and participate in enjoying the festival.

But the question remains: What happens after Christmas?

The performers touched on that as well.

They say we make bad decisions, do stupid things, return to our habits, or worse, but all that comes after. For now, it's Christmas, and you are supposed to worry just about that.
