The news of Drue's passing comes in the wake of reports that he died on Tuesday at an Antigua and Barbuda hospital after being discovered unresponsive.
Sarco Music star Ricardo Drue has passed away at the age of 38.

His death was confirmed by the singer's official Instagram page on Tuesday in a post. It, however, did not delve into the cause of death.

"Thank you for the massive outpouring of love and condolences on the passing of our brother and friend Ricardo Drue," the post read. "It is evident that Ricardo was truly loved and we are consoled knowing that his impact extended worldwide. His sudden passing has left us all shattered and as such we are asking for privacy as we make sense of this devastating loss."


The news of Drue's passing comes in the wake of reports that he died on Tuesday at an Antigua and Barbuda hospital after being discovered unresponsive. In a subsequent Instagram update, Drue's team denounced the sharing of a photo and voice memo online related to the artist's demise.

"The photo and voice note has caused tremendous trauma to his children, fiancée, family, friends and team," the post read. "We kindly request that this be immediately condemned and disregarded by all."

Meanwhile, Drue’s fiancée Patrice Roberts, who is also Sarco singer, took to Instagram to pay tributes to the musician. Sharing a video of herself planting a kiss on Drue's cheek, she wrote: "I do anything to hear your voice.Wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Drue, renowned for his distinctive blend of soca, R&B, and reggae, gained recognition as a singer.
