Sandy Hook victims' kin lawyer asks jury to award $150 million to plaintiffs in lawsuit against Alex Jones. Check out details here
Adv Bankston has asked a jury in Travis County court to penalise Alex Jones for $150 million. He argued that Jones’s actions caused a lot of mental and emotional trauma to the parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting...

Bankston termed the defamatory campaign allegedly triggered by Alex Jones as the most despicable and slanderous campaign ever in American history. He further added that the parents of the murdered children had to endure severe mental and psychological trauma for about 10 years.
According to Bankston’s demand, Jones should be penalised $1 for every person who believed in his false theory, which the petitioners estimate to be around 75 million people. Bankston argued that the remaining $75 million would be compensation for the emotional and mental anguish the parents have endured over the years.
On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza, a 20-year-old resident of Newtown, Connecticut, shot and killed his 52-year-old mother. After killing his mother, Lanza drove her car to the Sandy Hook Elementary School in the same town, where he opened fire and killed 26 people. Later, Lanza committed suicide and shot himself when the first responders arrived.
In the aftermath of the horrific incident, Alex Jones said that the entire Sandy Hook episode was staged by gun control advocates and that no one died in the incident. However, Jones openly admitted his mistake and said that his false accusation was due to his mental psychosis. While on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2019, Jones said that he believes that the incident did take place and he was sorry for his irresponsible behaviour.
Following his first statement discrediting the incident, a defamation suit was filed against Jones on April 16, 2018, in Travis County, Texas, by Neil Heslin, father of Sandy Hook victim Jesse Lewis. Subsequently, several parents of the victims joined a legal battle against Jones in Texas and Connecticut.
