It's hilarious that Samsung and Apple are playing cat and rat. After the launch of the new iPhone 14 line-up, Samsung has thrown some shade at Apple for not having variety in their foldable device line-up. Besides that, Samsung even took a dig at Apple's camera quality, mentioning how they have been offering 108 megapixels for over two years against the iPhone's 48-megapixel sensor.
Samsung is throwing more shade than the fall trees.
Apple's "Far out" launch event received some very bold shades for Samsung. Last month, Samsung launched its Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Both foldable devices received critical acclaim. During Apple's launch event, Samsung released a short film advertisement with the tagline, "Join the Flip." The commercial showed two younger women talking about the new flip devices.
It showed how one woman clearly loved her phone and had always preferred it. But ever since her friends introduced her to the Samsung flip phone, it was all she could think about. The campaign was supposed to urge users to "Join the Flipside" and promote Samsung's new line-up. After that, a series of tweets followed the promotion of flip phones. Many Twitter users are now taking it less seriously when Samsung promotes its products and more seriously when Samsung roasts Apple.

On Friday, September 9, Samsung started a series of tweets. It included criticizing the Apple models for having a lower megapixel camera. Also, Samsung called out Apple for the lack of foldable options. While many tweeters agreed, many argued that Apple's software, autofocus, and camera quality could blow away any competition standing in between, including Samsung.
What has the response of Twitter been regarding the Samsung and Apple advertisements?
These brand battles are nothing new in the commercial world. Over the years, we have seen many such neck-to-neck competitions, one prominent being the Mac vs. PC war. Many users are saying that Samsung is going too far with tongue-in-cheek battles. Users are complaining about how they'll still be stuck with Android OS 13 despite its excellent foldable options. Others appreciate this as a different kind of humor.
