Samsung Moving Style battery-powered smart TV features portability and 27-inch QHD display

Samsung released the Moving Style, a portable smart TV featuring a 27-inch QHD screen with built-in battery power and a wheeled stand for room-to-room mobility. The device can be detached from its stand and carried using an integrated handle.

The Moving Style operates at 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display includes a built-in adjustable kickstand for use away from the wheeled base.

The smart TV incorporates AI image optimization, color enhancement technology, and automatic HDR remastering. Samsung's Smart TV platform provides access to live channels and streaming services over Wi-Fi 5 connectivity.

The device includes a 69-Wh battery for portable operation. Connectivity options include one 120-Hz HDMI input and two USB ports. The audio system features 10-W two-channel speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility.

Users can mirror content from smartphones via Google Cast or AirPlay. Voice search functionality operates through Bixby or Google Assistant via the included remote control.

Entertainment and productivity applications

The Moving Style includes a web browser for online content access. The display can serve as a daily information board featuring applications when not functioning as a television.

Samsung registered more than 3,500 works in the system's digital art store, allowing users to display artwork when the screen is not in active use. AI-generated art can be created using text prompts.

A sketching application is included, though the touchscreen does not support stylus input. The device offers workout-related features and can be equipped with an optional 1080p webcam for video communication.

Comparison to LG StanbyMe 2

LG released a similar product, the StanbyMe 2, earlier in 2025. Both devices feature portable designs with wheeled stands and detachable displays. The Samsung Moving Style offers a higher 120 Hz refresh rate compared to LG's model, which shares the same 27-inch QHD resolution.

Pricing and availability

The Moving Style portable smart TV is currently available in South Korea for KRW 1,440,000, approximately $1,000. Samsung has indicated potential plans for global release, though no specific international launch dates or pricing have been announced.

The device is positioned for use in apartments, small living spaces, or recreational vehicles where portable entertainment options are preferred.
