Now, the 31-year-old English singer-songwriter has teamed up with pop icon Madonna for the latest offering, which will be released on Friday, June 9.

In the post, Madonna also shared an artwork, where a pair of tightly cinched black-and-white corsets were shown. The duo’s initials, which were cheekily shortened to a simple “S&M”, were emblazoned over the picture.

The announcement of the single has come up after about a week’s buildup. Smith had teased that a collaboration with Madonna was on its way on May 24. Across their social media accounts, the pair had shared a looping audio clip where they groaned “Sam and Madonna.”

In the following days, Smith posted a tweet where he said that fans were going to be treated with a surprise during his Manchester show on May 24. Many people assumed it would be a first taste of the collaboration between Madonna and Sam Smith as the announcement on Twitter was in the same font as the first teaser. But when the day of the show finally came, Smith was forced to abruptly end the concert as there were vocal issues.
