Born on September 2, 1977, in Jacksonville, Florida, Rivers developed an early passion for music.
According to his biography on fanpage, FaithWeb's Limp Bizkit page, he began playing the tuba in middle school and later transitioned to bass guitar. Before his rise to fame, Rivers worked at local fast-food establishments, including Burger King and Chick-fil-A, to support his musical aspirations. His dedication to music led him to form Limp Bizkit in 1994 with Fred Durst and John Otto, eventually becoming a defining act in the late '90s and early 2000s rock scene.
According to various reports, Rivers married Roxie McMahon, daughter of WWE chairman Vince McMahon, in December 1999 in Greenwich, Connecticut. The couple had a daughter named Gaige.
As per Who's Dated Who, Sam Rivers and Roxie McMahon parted ways after seven years of their marriage.
Just before his passing, Rivers shared a poignant Instagram post commemorating the 25th anniversary of Limp Bizkit's album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, accompanied by the caption "nothing but love."
