Donald Trump
Wealthy Democrats in the US have suddenly taken a call to begin purchasing properties in London right after Donald Trump's US election win, sending signals that a lot of them could be considering moving abroad in the wake of Trump's Presidency.

Trump's upcoming administration sending shockwaves among rich Democrats

The Telegraph's report suggests that the increase of interest in buying prime UK-based properties among the Americans has increased manifold, and is being cited to be like a 'safety net' in order to distance themselves from any effect of Trump and his upcoming Presidential administration.

In fact, some families have begun looking for rental property in the UK after arriving from the US right after the announcement of the Presidential election 2024 results. Rental enquiries have also increased among American buyers who are interested in moving to the UK, and most of these people are among the higher income brackets, who may be looking to escape the surreal amount of taxes on them in the coming days.

London being seen as 'safe space' and alternative

The UK, especially London, is being seen as a safe haven by this broader set of Americans, who see Trump as an aberration. Therefore, the number of enquiries is just keeping on mounting among the major set of Americans, who are even quoting higher-than-market prices for some of the luxe properties in the UK, most of which is centered around London.
