He said that the team will extend their assistance and support to Ryan as he transitions into the next phase of his life.

Ryan Watts’ career cut short after a promising start
The former Texas Longhorns defensive back’s journey was tragically brief. He was selected by the Steelers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft 2024, stated the SI report. He had reportedly shown promise as a DB before he sustained the career-ending injury.Before entering the NFL, Watts played college football at Ohio State for two seasons, and later was transferred to Texas. Watts, while playing for the Longhorns, made an impact over 24 games. He recorded a total of 89 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, six passes defended, and one interception. His performances had earned him an Honourable Mention in the All-Big 12 selections in 2022.
