Actor Ryan Reynolds may be busy juggling the demands of filming a new Deadpool movie and running a soccer team with his friend Rob McElhenney (a journey viewers can follow in the FX documentary Welcome to Wrexham). However, he wants everyone to know he still has time to appear on his friend's television programme.

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Ryan Reynolds answers whether he would ever think about appearing as a guest star on McElhenney's enduring series, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The two discuss working together on Welcome to Wrexham.

One of the standout sequences on the show, a lengthy and physically taxing dance performance in the Season 13 finale for which Rob McElhenney underwent a dramatic body transformation, was Mac's transformation from a toxic closet case to an out proud gay man.

While much of the comedy in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia centres on none of the morally bankrupt characters capable of learning or maturing as people, Mac might be the exception. It could be one more reason for Ryan Reynold's demand.
