Ryan Murphy reveals Evan Peters stayed in character as Jeffrey Dahmer for months to prepare for 'Monster'
Ryan Murphy stated that Evan Peters adopted the character of Jeffrey Dahmer in the Netflix series "Monster". He was so invested in the role that he worked on it for months.

During a Saturday panel with Murphy and co-stars Niecy Nash and Richard Jenkins, Peter expressed doubt about doing it because it would be too dark and difficult. After getting the scripts, he examined Dahmer's 1994 "Dateline" interview to "dig into the psychology of that extreme side of human action."
How does Evan Peters prepare for this character?
Peters added that he has an extraordinarily straight back. He walks without moving his arms and puts weights on them to see how they feel. He also added that he wore the character's shoes with lifts, his jeans, glasses, and smoked constantly. While filming, he worked on learning the exterior features that come naturally to him. For that, he watched many videos and worked with a dialect coach to improve his voice; he spoke with an accent and in a dialect.
