Russia's 'revenge' missile strikes in Kyiv, and other Ukrainian cities leave several dead. All latest updates here
Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities have left many dead as the war continues unabated. Kyiv and many more cities in Ukraine were struck by missiles, taking a massive toll on civilians.

The latest escalation of the Russian onslaught against Ukraine began after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the attack on the main bridge from Russia to Crimea by Ukrainian Special Forces as a “terrorist act”. The incident occurred last weekend, with the Ukrainians claiming responsibility.
Meanwhile, the G7 nations have pledged support to the Ukrainian government by strengthening the country's air defence systems. The United Kingdom said that it will provide rockets that are capable of shooting down cruise missiles.
The deadly strike on Ukraine cities by Russia took place a day after Putin called the Crimea bridge attack 'a terrorist act' on Saturday.
Putin was also seen on a video call with the Russian Security Council, post the attack by Russian forces on Ukraine, and declared that major military and energy targets were demolished in the so-called raid. Precision weapons were used in the air, sea, and ground raids by Russia.
Meanwhile, Ukraine claimed that Russia targeted residential areas along with military and infrastructural facilities. These developments marked a significant thrust against Ukraine by the Russians after the former had regained its lost territories from Russia. The West, especially the USA and the NATO countries, have been providing weapon supplies to help Ukraine, which seeks NATO membership. The Russian side is worried that Ukraine would be used as a buffer against mainland Russia by NATO forces which it denounces.
