Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov taken to hospital over heart condition at G20; Moscow refutes ‘fake’ claims
Russian foreign ministry released a video stating that the news of Sergei Lavrov having a heart condition was fake. The video showed the Russian Foreign Minister accusing the western media of falsely claiming that Putin had been ill for a decade.

Maria Zakharova, Russia’s foreign ministry’s spokesperson, said that the reports were the “height of fakery.” A video of Sergei Lavrov was subsequently released from his hotel room in Bali, in which Russian President Vladimir Putin’s trusted man could be seen working in his shorts on the balcony.
As per Sky News report, the Russian Foreign Minister could be heard saying that the western media made false claims of Vladimir Putin being ill for over a decade. Sergei Lavrov said it was an old political game and that the western media needed to be more truthful.
The G20 summit is currently taking place in Bali, Indonesia, and is the biggest geopolitical event since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine War in February. While Lavrov is the highest-ranking Russian official to attend the summit, Joe Biden, Xi Jinping, and Rishi Sunak will be joining.
