WWE and the mayor of San Antonio, Ron Nirenberg, have announced that the Royal Rumble is scheduled for January 28, 2023, at the Alamodome. The Royal Rumble is being hosted in San Antonio for the fourth time, and the Alamodome is hosting the event for the third time.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg stated that they were excited to bring one of WWE's most exciting events of the year back to San Antonio. The Royal Rumble will attract tens of thousands of WWE fans from across the world to the Alamodome, providing both an enormous economic boost and community outreach initiatives that will give back in a variety of ways.



WWE is honoured that the Royal Rumble will be one of the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the Alamodome, said WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events, John P. Saboor. The Royal Rumble will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network elsewhere.

The event will be headlined by two 30-women and 30-men Royal Rumble matches, with the winners receiving a championship match opportunity at WrestleMania in Los Angeles.
