Ronaldo retires from international football, but his CR7 brand reaches far beyond the sport: Inside his business empire of hotels, hair clinics, YouTube and more
Ronaldo retirement: Cristiano Ronaldo is known around the world for his football career, but his name now appears on businesses far away from the field. He has a hotel partnership with six locations, a hair restoration clinic chain, a fashion and fragrance brand, gyms and a wellness app. His YouTube channel has also become a major part of his business interests, reaching 10 million subscribers just 12 hours after launch. The ventures cover several industries, with the CR7 name running through many of them.

Cristiano Ronaldo's YouTube Channel Hit 10 Million Subscribers in 12 Hours

Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel, UR · Cristiano, in August 2024, it took just 12 hours to reach 10 million subscribers, a milestone that made it the fastest channel to hit that number, as per RonaldoNetWorth.com report.

By August 2026, the channel had nearly 83 million subscribers. RonaldoNetWorth.com estimates that it generates between $2 million and $10 million a year.

Pestana CR7 Hotels Has Six Locations

Hotels are another major part of Ronaldo's business portfolio. His Pestana CR7 venture operates through a 50-50 partnership with Portugal's Pestana Group.

The hotel group has six locations, Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakech, New York and Riyadh. Ronaldo reportedly invested €40 million for a half stake in the business in December 2015.

Insparya Runs 13 Hair-Restoration Centres

Ronaldo's business interests also include Insparya, a hair-restoration clinic chain he co-founded in 2019. The company now has 13 centres and employs more than 400 people.

RonaldoNetWorth.com has estimated the market value at around $107 million.

CR7 Brand Sells Fashion and Fragrances in More Than 50 Countries

The CR7 name appears on a range of products, including underwear, denim, footwear, eyewear and fragrances. The brand's products are available in more than 50 countries.

Ronaldo does not handle the entire manufacturing and distribution process himself. Instead, the business uses licensing arrangements in which partners manufacture and distribute the products and take on inventory risk. He earns royalties from sales.

The report estimates that the licensing business generates between $30 million and $50 million in annual profit. Its fragrance lines include Game On, Play It Cool and Legacy. The Gulf is identified as the strongest market for these products.

Gyms, a Wellness App and a Museum Add to His Portfolio

Ronaldo has also moved into the fitness business through CR7 Crunch Fitness, a gym franchise operating across Spain and Portugal through a joint venture.

Another venture is Erakulis, a health and wellness app he founded in March 2024. This focuses on fitness, nutrition & mental balance.

His business interests also include Museu CR7 in Funchal, Madeira. The museum displays his trophies and is located below the first CR7 hotel.

Did Ronaldo Retire from International Football

While his business interests continue across different sectors, Ronaldo has announced the end of his international football career. On Thursday, the 41 year old said he would retire from Portugal after the November international break and hand back the national team's No. 7 shirt.

Ronaldo now leaves Portugal with 234 appearances & 146 goals, which are both men's international records, as per Reuters report. He captained the country to its first major trophy at Euro 2016 and also helped Portugal win the Nations League in 2019 & 2025.

His announcement followed a dispute with coach Jorge Jesus during the previous international break. Ronaldo's decision applies to his international career, and he continues to play for Al Nassr at club level.

So from hotels and hair clinics to fashion, fitness and digital media, Ronaldo's business interests reach well beyond football. Several of the financial figures attached to these ventures are estimates, but the range of businesses carrying his name extends beyond sports.
