Roman Reigns reunites with Jey Uso to battle the 'Bron Brons' at WWE SummerSlam 2025

The Tribal Chief is back - and he’s bringing backup. Roman Reigns is officially returning to in-ring action at SummerSlam, teaming up with cousin Jey Uso to take on the powerhouse duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, collectively dubbed the 'Bron Brons'.

The 38th annual SummerSlam is set to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

In a fiery video posted to social media, Reigns called out the Brons for their recent two-on-one attack on him and took direct aim at Paul Heyman, his former Wiseman turned traitor. "Paul Heyman, you’re no longer a Wiseman. Now you’re just a dumb a**," Reigns said. He also warned Breakker not to fall into the same trap he did, accusing Heyman of exploiting his success.


Reigns expressed admiration for fighting alongside Jey Uso on Raw, saying he wanted to 'stand shoulder-to-shoulder' again for this tag team war. Jey accepted - and so did Heyman, on behalf of his new clients.


In a typically theatrical response, Heyman made the bout official, declaring, "Roman Reigns has picked his poison... Welcome to my island of relevancy, and right over the bridge in New Jersey, we’ll leave them both buried next to Jimmy Hoffa."

This match will mark Reigns’ first since WrestleMania, adding extra heat to an already high-stakes SummerSlam showdown. With family bonds, betrayal, and dominance all on the line, the stage is now set for a blockbuster battle.

The event will feature matches from WWE’s Raw and SmackDown brand divisions, with Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B serving as the official host. This will also mark the first time SummerSlam is held over two nights - a format previously reserved exclusively for WrestleMania since 2020.
