The upcoming Teen Council, which will run from October 2025 to June 2026, is open to users aged 14 to 17, with applications due by September 29. According to Roblox, the council plays a key role in their ongoing commitment to creating a safe and positive online space for all users, especially teens and young adults.
The council, made up of diverse teen creators and players, will provide feedback on community standards, safety tools, and platform experiences to help Roblox better balance creativity with user protection.
"Users aged 14 to 17 can apply for the next council, which will run from October 2025 to June 2026. Applications are due September 29," Roblox said in a statement, adding, "Once selected, members of the Teen Council will collaborate with internal teams at Roblox, offering perspectives on platform features, policies, and resources. By engaging these young leaders, Roblox aims to build a platform where people of all ages can have safe, creative, and positive experiences."
A total of 14 users took part in the inaugural Teen Council, launched in March 2025, from across the United States. During their tenure, council members built skills in communication, critical thinking, and community engagement, while also gaining deeper insights into digital well-being and online civility.
"The first cohort participated in four ideation workshops to provide input on areas including parental controls, avatar features, community standards, and safety tools," said Roblox.
"Council members received training in digital citizenship and mental health advocacy, earning mental health ally certificates. They also created community outreach content, developing mental health tips that were shared on Roblox’s Instagram Stories, and collaborated with media literacy organizations to produce public service announcements about safety and digital literacy."
With this step, Roblox has once again shown their commitment towards child safety despite recent backlash over kids protection across the globe with many nations already banning the game.
