Actor Rob Lowe, who has quite a few Golden Globe nominations to his name, recently had an awkward interaction that initially left him stunned but later progressed to a laugh riot. He also posted a video of the incident, which took place while he was casually strolling down the streets of Beverly Hills. The clip showed a stationary Hollywood Beverly Hills Tours bus near Lowe, with a staffer of the company mistakenly introducing him as iconic sitcom star John Stamos to the tour group.

The misidentification, obviously, didn't slide past the film buffs undetected as they broke into a laughter. The guide instantly realised his mistake amid all the laughter and said, "Well, I mean he looks like him (John Stamos)..." However, it was too late for Lowe to let the goof-up pass.

It caused the Emmy-nominated actor to whimsically turn to the camera with a dumbfounded expression. He mouthed right in front of the lens camera before turning his attention back to the bus and walking up to the tourist-filled vehicle. "Okay guys, am I John Stamos?” the actor rhetorically asked the tourists aboard the bus, to which they replied collectively with an enthusiastic "no". Many people aboard the bus shouted his real name in unison amid the giggles.

‘You gotta get better at your job,” Lowe told the erring tour guide. The taunt was met with an equally lighthearted response by the tour company staff. As per the New York Post, he said, "It’s usually about having fun, you know; I didn’t expect to run into people." Lowe responded to the man by saying, "I see." The erring man also appreciated his handling of the situation and said, "Thank you for cool energy, man."

Lowe took to sharing the video of the hilarious interaction on his Instagram, tagging his son and actor-writer Johnny Lowe in the post. Rob captioned it "Am I being Punk’d?" Johnny's comment matched the vibe of the video as he said, "The people have spoken". The video also drew a comment from actor Kimberly Williams Paisley, who teased Rob by saying, "I love you John Stamos!"
