An exciting news for Prime Video’s users, the Middle-earth series, Rings of Power is returning with season 2. A voiceover narration that "an evil, ancient and powerful, has returned" by Durin IV (Owain Arthur) as the trailer opens on Vickers' face.
It has been announced by Prime Video that it will debut on Thursday, August 29, 2024. The second season's production, which started in the UK in October 2022, has been reported to be moving quickly at Amazon Studios.

Rings of Power Season 2: Expected Plot

As hinted at in the first Season 2 trailer, Galadriel will send Sauron out in the next episodes. Now that he lacks an army and an ally, the emerging Dark Lord must rely on his creative thinking to regain his power and supervise the construction of the Rings of Power, which will enable him to subjugate all of Middle-earth's peoples to his evil whim, as mentioned in a report by Radio Times.


Rings of Power Season 2: Returning Cast

Charlie Vickers as Sauron, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor, Owain Arthur as Prince Durin IV, Sophia Nomvete as Princess Disa, and Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir are among the original cast members who will be back for Season 2.

But Sam Hazeldine from Peaky Blinders will take Joseph Mawle's place as the evil Adar, the Orc commander. Tanya Moodie (The Man Who Fell to Earth) and Ciaran Hinds (Rome, Game of Thrones) have joined the ensemble in unspecified roles.

The well-known book character Tom Bombadil, who "nudges the Stranger along his journey," will be portrayed by Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful).
Although Tyroe Muhafidin, who plays Bronwyn's son, Theo, will be returning, Nazanin Boniadi will not be playing the human healer Bronwyn again this season.
