Google’s image search works like a charm on PCs – just visit Google Images, click on the camera icon and you’ve got two options to choose from: paste the image link or upload an image, drag from another window. Not everyone is aware but this feature is available on mobile phones as well – did you know? Follow the steps for a successful reverse image look-up.

Google Reverse Image Search

The camera icon doesn’t appear when you visit images.google.com on mobile. To access it, load the desktop version on a mobile browser – it works on both Safari and Chrome.

In Safari, tap on aA icon on the top left and tap on Request Desktop site. Similarly, in Chrome, tap on the three-dot menu and tap on the Request Desktop site. The camera icon will appear. Following that, users can upload photos from the camera roll.

Bing Visual Search

Bing also has a reverse image search feature. To perform the search, click Bing’s camera icon on the browser or Bing app.

Afterwards, proceed to tap the Browse button situated at the lower left of the screen. A pop-up menu will appear, which provides options for taking a photo, browsing your photo library, or perusing through third-party services. If you'd like to search for photos stored in third-party services, select the browse option.

In more recent versions of the Bing app (available on iOS and opens in a new window) and Android (opens in a new window), you can directly search for an image by capturing it using your phone's camera.

Third-Party Image Search Engines

TinEye provides various options for searching, including URL search, upload, or drag-and-drop on the desktop. On mobile devices, users can simply click on the upload icon (up arrow) to select options to take a photo, choose one from the library, or upload from third-party services.
