After a Republican senator's release of a purported "FBI document" that claimed US President Joe Biden's alleged involvement in an international bribery scheme, Republicans swiftly reacted with strong criticism, some even calling for his impeachment, according to a Fox report.

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley from Iowa made the FD-1023 form public earlier in the day. The document purportedly outlined how President Biden, along with his son, Hunter Biden, was involved in coercing Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky to pay them millions of dollars in exchange for their assistance in removing the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company, as per the Fox report.

Reacting to the revelation, various Republican figures expressed their outrage. Republican Jim Banks from Indiana took to Twitter, stating, "Most corrupt family to ever live in the White House! Impeach!" Similarly, Rep. Lauren Boebert from Colorado commented, "Read and understand just how deep the corruption goes. Biden should be thrown out of office. Impeach!"

Kari Lake, a conservative firebrand and former Arizona gubernatorial candidate, went even further, suggesting that the President may also be guilty of "extortion" and "treason" in addition to bribery. She drew a comparison, claiming that former President Donald Trump was impeached for what she sees as Biden's 'crimes'.

Another voice calling for Biden's impeachment was Republican Anna Paulina Luna from Florida. She had already expressed her stance prior to the document's release, asserting that Biden "NEEDS to be impeached" based on the "evidence and testimony" she had encountered while serving as a member of the House Oversight Committee investigating the Biden family's finances. Luna added that she believed Biden to be compromised and that his son was profiting from selling access to him.

It is crucial to note that these statements and reactions are part of an ongoing and contentious political discourse, and any formal actions, such as impeachment, would require substantial evidence and go through a rigorous legal process.
