Rehearsals for Bethpage Air Show cancelled; organizers hopeful for Saturday
Bad weather played spoilsport in Long Island and the rehearsals for the much-awaited Bethpage Air Show had to be cancelled.

However, there are times when you make some plans but external factors make you postpone or cancel them altogether. Owing to unfavorable weather conditions, the officials decided to do away with the rehearsals that were planned for the big weekend performance.
Locales, who had come to the beach to catch a glimpse of the rehearsals, were not extremely disappointed when they received this news. They decide to enjoy their time on the beach and engage in some fun activities with their loved ones.
Apart from warning the visitors about the rough weather, the officials also requested them not to go very close to the water. They were advised to wear the kind of clothing that would help them keep themselves safe during these times.
Mike Vega, who serves as the Chief of Response with the First District of the U.S. Coast Guard, stated that the weather was getting better but it would take a while for things to get stable.
Some of the performers who are scheduled to perform at the event this weekend include the F-35C Lightning II and the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team. Since a full-fledged airshow is about to take place on Long Island after a long time, the residents are extremely excited about it.
Many have traveled from different cities and towns to witness this event up and close. Since it has been designed to be a massive event, the police have made special arrangements to ensure no security lapse happens. More than 100 police officials will be monitoring the event and there will be drones as well.
