Reddit down for multiple users across the United States
The outage tracking website Downdetector reports that the social media platform Reddit was unavailable to thousands of users in the United States on Wednesday, as per a report by Reuters.
On July 16, reports of Reddit outages surged on Downdetector just after 11:30 a.m. ET. As of 11:44 AM ET, user reports show that more than 72,897 US users were experiencing issues on Reddit, as quoted in a report by Forbes.
On Wednesday, at approximately 11:40 a.m. EDT, Reddit users started reporting an outage and by noon, there were over 100,000 reports.
In the meantime, the team began "investigating elevated site errors," according to an update posted on the Reddit Status page at 11:52 a.m. ET.
