The filmmakers and the cast of the movie ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ have recently announced a sequel of the critically acclaimed film that was released in 2023. The movie had Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez in the lead roles. This has been reported by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’. The new sequel will also be available on Prime Video.

The script of the upcoming sequel will be handled by Matthew Lopez along with Casey McQuiston, who is also the executive producer. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce the film.


Storyline

The original movie is based on a book written by Casey McQuiston (who is also the script writer of the movie) having the same title ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’. This was her debut novel which has also earned the distinction of being the New York Times best selling debut novel.

The pictures of their confrontation at a royal wedding are published in various tabloids and this threatens to spoil the strategic relationship between the US and Britain. This is when the two countries plan to plant a story of friendship between the two men. Is there more to this? What happens when the two fall for each other romantically? Does it threaten to ruin the election campaign of Alex’s mother as she seeks another term as the President of the US? This is the storyline.
