When will the psychological thriller 'Ratched' Season 2 premiere on the streaming platforms? This question is asked as it received a two-season order from Netflix and the first season made its debut on Netflix on September 18, 2020. Created by Evan Romansky and developed by Ryan Murphy, the series features Sarah Paulson in the titular role of Nurse Mildred Ratched. The thriller revolves around the life of Nurse Mildred before the events of the 1975 movie called 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.

Two seasons, 18 episodes

Netflix announced in September 2017 that it had picked up Ratched for a two-season, 18-episode, straight-to-series order. As 'Ratched' Season 1 had 8 episodes, it is expected that Season 2 will have 10. But the fans are concerned about when Season 2 will be released.

Uncertainties

It was announced in Jue 2023 that 'Ratched' producer Ryan Murphy would be leaving Netflix for Disney. After Murphy's departure, the concern was expressed whether 'Ratched' would continue on the streaming service. Earlier in August 2022, Sarah Paulson told 'Variety' that she did not know if 'Ratched' Season 2 was in the works.


It is bizarre that the production for Season 2 has yet to begin, even though it has been almost three years since the first season's debut. It was further delayed due to the strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild (SGA).
