Cody Rhodes stated on Monday Night WWE Raw that 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton is finally returning to WWE. Orton is said to return to the ring at Survivor Series. Several fans of WWE got excited after hearing the news and are waiting for the highly anticipated return of the GOAT.

Drew McIntyre, one of his former adversaries, reacted to the news. He stated “Hello darkness, my old friend #SurvivorSeries,” in a tweet addressing the return of Orton

WWE has teased Randy Orton's return after a lengthy injury break in recent weeks. And it was finally verified at the end of Monday's episode of WWE Raw.

Drew McIntyre appeared to join forces with The Judgement Day last week, costing Jey Uso and the American Nightmare the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships. The Scottish Warrior began last night's broadcast of Raw to deliver answers. While doing so, McIntyre said that he will not be joining the Judgement Day, but will instead be joining their WarGames squad as the fifth member. He officially announced the news during the show and needless to say fans are a little disheartened.

McIntyre was able to secure the victory and give his squad the advantage. The rest of Uso's faction then appeared as he attempted to instill more punishment in Uso. Cody Rhodes took the microphone and announced who would be the team's fifth member. Despite not mentioning his name, Rhodes indicated that he has a legacy with him and is the Apex Predator.
Drew also confirmed this via a message where the Scottish Warrior took to Twitter to seemingly welcome Randy Orton back into WWE.

Following that, spectators witnessed a fight between the two squads. Cody Rhodes and his crew have until the end of the night to choose their fifth member, according to Adam Pearce. The night's main event was a bout between Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre. The winner would gain an edge for his or her team.

Because of the buzz surrounding the possible return of Chicago native CM Punk, WWE did not want to wait until Survivor Series for Orton's return in case fans were anticipating the former All Elite Wrestling star.

However, the greatest choice would have been to stage the moment on Monday's Raw in front of a raucous Grand Rapids audience that had continuously raised this programme.
