After the crescent moon was sighted, Saudi Arabia SC formally declared that Ramadan would start on Saturday, March 1.
All Saudi Arabian Muslims were urged by the Supreme Court on Thursday to observe the Ramadan crescent on Friday night.

According to the court, if someone sees the Ramadan crescent with their own eyes or through binoculars, they should either call the closest court to their location and give their testimony there, or they can get in touch with the closest center to be directed to the closest court, as per a report.
Other Muslims who want to see the moon are encouraged to do so by the Saudi Arabian moon sighting committee, which typically observes the moon in the days preceding the anticipated start of Ramadan.
