Rafael Nadal, 22-time grand slam champion, is unsure about participating in Wimbledon this year, as he wants to focus on the Olympics in Paris, which will be held on clay courts like the French Open. He felt that playing Wimbledon might not be a wise idea as he looks to priorities the Summer
Olympics on the Roland Garros clay. It is difficult to move from clay courts to grass courts, and he is worried about injuries to his body. He will consult his group before making a decision.

Nadal was eliminated in the first round of the French Open by Alexander Zverev. Less than a month later, on July 27, the Olympic tennis event begins, with Wimbledon commencing on July 1.


Regarding his chances of winning Wimbledon, Rafael Nadal, the 2008 Beijing gold medalist in singles, said that it looks difficult for him to participate, and he is also not sure.

Along with Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal will compete in the doubles in Paris in 2024. Nadal has been struggling with injuries since the 2023 Australian Open.

Due to his efforts to overcome the injuries and prepare his body for another year on the Tour, he was forced to miss the majority of last season.
After earlier announcing that 2024 would likely be his last year as a professional tennis player, Rafael Nadal hinted he would return in 2025 after losing to Alexander Zverev. However, he said that he is not 100 per cent sure that the match would be his last at Roland Garros.

Nadal admitted there was no guarantee he would be fit for the Olympics, even though he prioritises staying fit given his injury issues over the past 18 months.

He also jokes about his body being jungle for the last two years. He said that he woke up one day and found that a snake was biting him, and another day a tiger.
