Quinn Simmons aims for stage wins on his Tour de France debut
Simmons hopes to have some opportunities during the second half against Trek-Segafredo, which has an impressive squad for the first week. This will be the youngster's first time competing.

Simmons said that the feeling is very cool and he had been waiting for this his whole career.
The King of the Mountain title was Simmons' most recent victory, at the Tour de Suisse. He commented that it wasn’t his plan but once he saw the opportunity, it was surely what he wanted to maintain.
Trek-Segafredo's mixed squad includes stage hunters, and Simmons expects to have success at the end of the race.
According to Simmons, the first week would be successful if he could play a good role in supporting the guys in the classics-type stages. If he can make it into second or even third week, he would try for a breakaway. There are a few mountain days which look harder but if he makes it into the break, he can fight for the win.
In spite of being ill earlier this season, Simons rode through the Tour de Suisse with a flourish this season.
During his time there, Simmons broke away on several occasions, winning the King of the Mountains jersey, and took fourth place on a big breakaway stage across the Swiss Alps.
Simmons said that his approach was a bit different. But with a long altitude camp and also Suisse as his preparation race, they have done everything they needed to be ready. According to Simmons, he has timed his fitness much better than what he normally does. But one cannot tell for sure until the race is actually on.
