American science fiction television series "Quantum Leap" has been rebooted with a new cast by NBC. The new version of the iconic show was aired on Monday, September 19, at 10 pm ET on NBC. NBC’s original Quantum Leap was successfully aired for five seasons between 1989 and 1993.

Ben Song, a physicist, jumps into an accelerator which gets an upgrade by special effects, and he goes back into other people's lives. However, physicist Ben Song's jump seems a mystery to his fiancée Addison and colleagues. Addison is a hologram that assists Ben.

The recent Top Gun: Maverick star Lee looks solid as the lead. Going between present and past gives it more of a dimension.


A career military man heads the team at home, and Addison has problems with Ben's lost memories. Quantum Leap successfully distinguished itself back in the day when it used the format to explore history and social issues. Even though the show was not massively successful, it managed to get five seasons before shutting down.
