Viral post on Purple Hearts sequel

The website reports that a Facebook post suggesting a sequel to Purple Hearts has gone viral, but that it is fake news. Several other fan posts have also announced Purple Hearts 2 as “coming soon”, but the claim is not true.

The rumors may be a result of Sofia Carson hinting at a sequel in an interview with Variety. She had said that “fans have kind of been demanding a sequel and there’s so many fan theories and fan stories and potential spinoffs”.

She added that “it’s lovely to think of a life for Cassie and Luke beyond this film.”

Sofia teased a sequel when she said she adored playing Cassie on Purple Hearts. “I adore being Cassie and I’d be curious to see where it goes. Who knows. You never know!” she’d said.

But as of August 2023, there is no sequel announced to the film Purple Hearts, as the story ended pretty well on a positive note.
