Plot and Setting

The show takes place at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Miami as a hurricane approaches. Dr. Danny Simms, played by Willa Fitzgerald, is promoted unexpectedly after Dr. Xander Phillips, played by Colin Woodell, is suspended. The hospital faces an increasing number of trauma cases while being under lockdown. Danny and Xander must work together despite their complicated past relationship. Other doctors in the ER struggle with their own personal and professional challenges.
