Thames Valley Police confirmed officers attended his temporary residence, Wood Farm, on the Sandringham estate, at around 8am. At least six unmarked vehicles and eight plain-clothed officers were reported entering through both the front and back entrances.

What is Prince Andrew’s known income?
Publicly available information suggests Andrew’s only confirmed income streams are modest compared to his former status as a senior working royal. He receives a Royal Navy pension from his service between 1979 and 2001, reportedly about £20,000 a year. In addition, he draws a £230.25 weekly state pension, as per The Mirror.
The last published figure for his public funding dates back to 2010, when it stood at £249,000 annually. Since stepping back from royal duties and losing his military titles and patronages, his financial position has changed significantly, as quoted in a report by the Daily Record.
According to estimates by Celebrity Net Worth, Prince Andrew’s net worth is around $5 million, or approximately £3 million.
He currently receives the majority of his income from a Royal Navy pension, potential state pension eligibility, royal allowances, and property arrangements linked to royal residences, private funding, and investments that are largely kept under wraps. He still maintains a lifestyle characterized by elite royal privilege in spite of having less money, as per a report by News18.

Why are there questions about Prince Andrew's ‘extravagant lifestyle’?
According to a report by The Daily record, despite the relatively limited publicly known income, Andrew’s lifestyle has long raised eyebrows. Royal biographer Andrew Lownie told the Mirror, “It remains a mystery how Andrew has been able to afford such an extravagant lifestyle without any sources of income beyond his naval pension. No one knows except people like David Stern and his accountant Arthur Lancaster."
Former Home Office Minister Norman Baker also questioned the transparency of Andrew’s finances. He said, "We don’t know how much he was left by the late Queen, and we don’t know how much he gets from his dodgy contacts. We do know that he had to borrow money from his family to pay off Virginia Guiffre. He also appears to be financially supporting his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, which must be like pouring water into a colander," as quoted in a report by The Daily Record.
“All I know is he’s got a lot less money than any of the other royals and he’s now so toxic no-one will work with him. From my view, he should just go out and get a job like anybody else.”

How have scandals affected Prince Andrew’s finances?
Prince Andrew’s controversies have played a major role in shaping both public perception and his financial standing. His friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, triggered widespread criticism. He also faced sexual abuse allegations made by Virginia Giuffre.
His 2019 BBC interview defending his relationship with Epstein was widely criticised. The fallout led to the loss of his military titles and royal patronages. He later reached a legal settlement in a U.S. civil case without admission of guilt.

These episodes severely damaged public trust and diminished his royal role. As a result, his income was reduced compared to his earlier position as a senior working royal.
Former Tory shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick added, “It’s about time Andrew took himself off to live in private and make his own way in life. He has disgraced himself, he has embarrassed the Royal Family time and again. The public are sick of him.”
