Russian President Vladimir Putin paraded the nuclear submarine through the streets of Russia. The sub measures up to 352ft in length, approximately the size of a football pitch. 'The whale' paraded through Kronstadt field near St. Petersburg. It will be transformed into a museum as part of an ongoing project at the Nerpa Shipyard.

According to reports, the submarine's hull will get repaired after removing the radioactive components of the reactors.
