President Trump acknowledges pardon request from Sean "Diddy" Combs; considers response on Ghislaine Maxwell amid Supreme Court setback
President Trump confirmed that Sean "Diddy" Combs and Ghislaine Maxwell have formally requested pardons following their recent legal convictions. Combs, convicted on prostitution charges, is serving a 50-month sentence, while Maxwell, convicted of...

Sean Combs, the renowned music mogul, was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution. He was acquitted of more severe charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. Combs has already served 12 months in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with credit for time served reducing his remaining sentence.
In an Oval Office appearance on October 6, President Trump addressed the pardon requests, stating, "A lot of people have asked me for pardons. I call him Puff Daddy; he has asked me for a pardon."
According to People website, Combs's legal team has expressed plans to appeal the sentence, criticizing Judge Arun Subramanian for allegedly overstepping by "acting as a 13th juror" and suggesting that the judge's rationale involved coercion.
Trump said "probably..." before pausing and revealing to Finnerty, "You know, I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great; (he) seemed like a nice guy. I didn't know him well, but when I ran for office he was very hostile."
Ghislaine Maxwell
Following the Supreme Court's decision, Maxwell's attorneys have indicated they will pursue clemency from President Trump as a potential route for relief.
In response to a question about Maxwell's case, President Trump remarked, "I haven't heard the name in so long. I'll take a look at it. I'll speak to the DOJ."
As of now, President Trump has not indicated a timeline for making decisions on these pardon requests. The Justice Department's involvement in the process remains a key factor in determining the outcomes.
