Powerball lottery: Jackpot now stands at $66 million, here's all about next drawing date

Wednesday's drawing in Powerball lottery was not able to see its fourth jackpot winner for the year. As a result, the jackpot prize money was increased to $66 million. Besides the jackpot prize, there were no winners for other lotteries as well.

Powerball lottery jackpot increased to $66 million for the drawing on Wednesday, May 7, after none of the ticket holders were able to match the six numbers to win the top prize on May 5.

People who get the chance to match the five numbers as well as the Powerball for the Wednesday's drawing will be allowed to opt for a one-time cash payment and get
$30.5 million, USA Today reported.


Powerball winners in 2025

So far, only three lucky winners have been able to grab the Powerball jackpot prize money this year.

The first was on January 18, when a Oregon-based player had the jackpot-winning Powerball ticket. The person, ultimately, got $328.5 million as prize money.

In the second case, the jackpot prize winner matched all the six Powerball numbers on March 29. At that time, the winning amount was a whopping $527 million.

The most recent winner of the contest was a Kentucky-based person, who bagged the top prize on April 26. The person in the end got $167.3 million.

Powerball: Winning numbers for Wednesday drawing

As per the official data, the May 7 drawing's winner numbers were 14, 15, 30, 40 and 59.

Meanwhile, Powerball is 20 and the Power Play stands at 3x, reports said.

For Wednesday's drawing, none of the ticket holders were able to match up all the six numbers to emerge as the fourth Powerball jackpot winner of the year.

Apart from the Jackpot prize, there were no winners for the Match 5 + Power Play $2 million prize, as well as the Match 5 $1 million game, according to USA Today.

The next draw will be announced on Saturday, May 10. The event is expected to start just after 11 PM ET.
