"Poor Things" is being released online as one can watch film, which has 11 Oscars nominations, at home, as per a report in Hollywood Reporter.

"Poor Things" is available on Prime Video and Apple TV for rent and purchase.

The film is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and based on Alasdair Gray's novel.


Actor Emma Stone has won the best actress BAFTA for her role in "Poor Things", the dark comedy in which she plays a young woman brought back to life with the spirit of a child.

Her madcap part in the female "Frankenstein" story saw her beat off competition from Carey Mulligan ("Maestro"), Margot Robbie ("Barbie"), Fantasia Barrino ("The Color Purple"), Vivian Oparah ("Rye Lane") and Sandra Huller ("Anatomy of a Fall").

Stone revealed that she initially doubted that she would be able to live up to the part.

The film, which is based on the novel by Alasdair Gray, talks about a young woman named Bella Baxter in Victorian London, who comes to life through a brain transplant and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
