A pretty recent Emerson Polling survey conducted in the month of November revealed that US Vice President Kamala Harris leads among the Democrats with 37% support for the 2028 US Presidential nomination, reported Independent. California Governor Gavin Newsom follows with 7% while Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg garners around 4%.

According to Independent, among the Republicans, US Vice President- elect JD Vance has 30% support while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy receiving more than 5%.

Pollsters did not provide pre-written options; instead respondents filled in their choices which allowed for a broader range of potential candidates, including figures like Rep. Rashida Tlaib and former First Lady Michelle Obama, asserted Independent. Kamala Harris is reportedly contemplating her political future while considering a gubernatorial run in California or another Presidential bid.
